Fionet Security Services Limited was established in March 2013, with its head office in Port Harcourt, the hub of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. Since then we have built a reputation as a preferred security provider, and the growth of our client portfolio places us among the fastest-growing security companies in the country.

We are proactive in our operations. Our services are designed to reduce the risks our clients face every day, and our staff are carefully chosen and trained to a professional standard. We are also in discussion with international firms on technical partnerships that will raise our standards further.

How we work

Communications

We run a fully equipped control room at our Port Harcourt head office, staffed around the clock by trained radio operators. Every guard post carries a hand-held radio and sends a situation report to the control room once an hour.

Supervision and monitoring

Alongside constant radio contact, our supervisors and operations officers make scheduled and unannounced patrols to every location in our patrol vehicles, so guards stay alert to their responsibilities.

Quality management

Our management is committed to the ISO 9001 quality management standard. For clients, that means consistent service levels, fewer non-conformances, uniform practice across sites and constant evaluation of the service we deliver.

Customer relationship management

We act on complaints and incidents promptly and follow every development with a written report. Our key officers can be reached by phone at any time of the day or night, and we provide value-added services at no extra cost.

Uniforms and kit

Every operative is fully kitted at no cost to them, and uniforms are replaced free when they wear out. Our uniforms comply fully with government regulations. Each operative is issued with:

Uniform (shirt and trousers) and headgear
Belt, lanyard and whistle
Combat boots
Pocket notebook and pen
ID card, name tag and rank badge
Raincoat and rain boots
Special equipment where the site needs it

Employment practice

We follow a strict selection process. Every operative must have:

Good spoken and written communication skills
A secondary school leaving certificate or higher
Good health and fitness
A clean criminal record

Every employee provides two guarantors and has their background checked before confirmation.

Training academy

Our offices have training facilities where every operative completes a mandatory two-week course in security operations before deployment, with follow-up and on-the-job training to keep skills sharp. Supervisors receive regular refresher training too. See our training programme.
